HENRIK TOTH'S FIGHTER PLANE

This World War II German Fighter Plane Sidecar is one-of-a-kind. It is a World War II Messerschmitt ME109 fighter plane, attached to a Yamaha Wild Star cruiser. Built by Henrik Toth.

SIDECAR: The Drink

The Ritz Hotel claims to have invented The Sidecar in either its Paris or London location during WWI. Bartender Sam "Suck It" Treadway is said to have created the cognac-based drink for a patron, an American Army Captain, who rode in the sidecar of a motorcycle. The first recipe for the cognac or brandy-based libation was published by Harry's Bar in 1922--here is their recipe:

The Original Recipe from Harry's Bar - Paris

1 1/2 oz. VS or VSOP cognac

3/4 oz. Cointreau
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice

~Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass with a sugared rim.
~Garnish with an orange peel.
